A LOST

A LOST

Considering that an advertisement for home alarms seen in San Francisco functioned exactly like a statement (an affirmation defining an artist’s practice) dear to conceptual art, the words A LOST were illegally removed with a cutter and placed in the exhibition. The result on the billboard (“Making Thievery Art”) justifies this theft as an artistic gesture and becomes Julien Berthier’s statement, displayed in advertising format in the streets of the city.
